Storage Wars Volume 2 - DVD Review

***SYNOPSIS***

Fast-talking auctioneers Dan and Laura Dotson and the loyal bidders than frequent their storage unit sales are back for another season of STORAGE WARS. Aided only by the beam of a flashlight, the bidders get a quick peek inside the units, then have mere minutes to decide if they re going to take the gamble, make a bid and see if the resulting buy is full of mostly trash...or true treasure. Storage addict and 32-year bidding veteran Darrell and his son Brandon Sheets, secondhand store owner Jarrod Schultz, entrepreneur Dave Hester and antique collector Barry Weiss return for more high-stakes fun as they try to outbid one another in the pursuit of storage treasure. Part gamblers and part detectives, these seasoned veterans negotiate the fascinating and obscure world of storage auction and consignment, with personalities as colorful and varied as the items they uncover.

DISC ONE Hang Em High Desert / Buyers on the Storm / Pay the Lady / Santa Ana Street Fight / Unclaimed Baggage / Enemy of the Enemy / Fire in the Hole

DISC TWO San Burrito / Tanks For The Memories / Land of the Loss / Almost the Greatest Show on Earth / Bowling For Dollars / Get Him To The Mayan / Fu Dog Day Afternoon

***VIDEO QUALITY***

Storage Wars arrives on DVD with a 480p transfer in the original aspect ratio of 1.78:1. I was pleased overall with the image on display here. Colors consist of natural tones and some brief bursts of colors from some of Barrys' outrageous outfits. Detail was quite good and helps in showing the possible treasures that are contained in the storage lockers . Black levels were consistent. There were some moments of noise but nothing to distract from the presentation. 7.5/10

***AUDIO QUALITY***

Audio is provided by a Dolby Digital Stereo 2.0 track. The on location dialogue is crisp and clean. The few moments of music cues in each episode were clear as well. Bass was nonexistent. The audio presentation was perfectly fine and waht was expected for this type of program. 7/10
