**VIDEO QUALITY**

Daphne & Velma arrives on Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer in the aspect ratio of 1.78:1 - This is a really colorful burst of fresh air that makes it look like a cheery early 90's sitcom like Saved by the Bell or the like. Bold and bright primaries pop. Detail and overall clarity was good if not top tier. Black levels were deep enough but not super inky. 9/10

**AUDIO QUALITY**

Audio is provided by a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. - Dialogue reproduction is crisp and prioritized to the center channel. There are some fun choices used for the surround effects that surprised me. A decent amount of bass adds depth to the score. 8.5/10

Game Night Blu-ray Disc Review

**SYNOPSIS**

Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams star as Max and Annie, whose weekly couples game night gets kicked up a notch when Max’s charismatic brother, Brooks, arranges a murder mystery party, complete with fake thugs and faux federal agents. So, when Brooks gets kidnapped, it’s all part of the game…right? But as the six uber-competitive gamers set out to solve the case and win, they begin to discover that neither this “game”—nor Brooks—are what they seem to be.

Over the course of one chaotic night, the friends find themselves increasingly in over their heads as each twist leads to another unexpected turn. With no rules, no points, and no idea who all the players are, this could turn out to be the most fun they’ve ever had…or, it’s game over.

**MOVIE REVIEW**

Game Night is a fun, dark comedy thrill ride. The always reliable Bateman is stellar. Rachel McAdams is so much fun and pardon the pun, game for this role. The standout performer to me though was Jesse Plemons as the creepy cop neighbor. This is a well made and thought out film with some unexpected twists. 8.5/10

**VIDEO QUALITY**

Game Night arrives on Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer in the aspect ratio of 2.40:1 - I appreciate that the look of the color palette is a bit warmer over most modern comedies that are so stark and cool. Crisp blues, lush greens and nicely saturated reds have good pop to them. The solid contrast performance helps with that as the do the deep black levels. Detail and clarity was excellent. 9/10

**AUDIO QUALITY**

Audio is provided by a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. - Dialogue reproduction even during more chaotic moments was crisp and clear. I was surprised by the good amount of surround activity for a dark comedy. LFE performance was quite striking in a couple scenes with deep bass thumping throughout the room. 9/10
