**SYNOPSIS**


Meet Adam Webber (Brendan Fraser, The Mummy, George of the Jungle), born and raised in a bomb shelter by his sherry-swilling mother (Sissy Spacek, JFK), and his mad scientist father (Christopher Walken, Pulp Fiction). Adam's simple childhood has been filled with Perry Como records, The Honeymooners reruns and good old-fashioned family values. Now, 35 years later, Adam is about to emerge into a bewildering modern world in search of supplies and a simple girl from Pasadena. Instead, Adam meets Eve (Alicia Silverstone, Clueless), a modern L.A. woman jaded about life and burned by love.

Blast from the Past arrives on Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer in the aspect ratio of 2.40:1 - The film makes it's HD debut with a pleasing new master. The color palette ranges from the more toned down mid-century to the bold primaries of the film's modern era. Black levels were deep and inky while details in shadows were revealing. The image is crisp and clean while fine detailing in the different era's of clothing and hairstyles looked excellent. Fine film grain was present. No signs of digital noise or edge enhancement. 9/10


**AUDIO QUALITY**


Audio is provided by a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. - Dialogue was consistently crisp and clear. The surround channels help open up the world to the listener and make them experience what Adam is when he emerges from the bomb shelter into the dawn of a new century. LFE adds depth to the great selection of music chosen for the film. Fidelity in the music and score was pleasing to the ear. 8.5/10

Looney Tunes: Rabbits Run DVD Review

**SYNOPSIS**


In Looney Tunes Rabbits Run, Bugs Bunny is a New York City cabbie who picks up the beautiful but bumbling perfume salesgirl, Lola Bunny, after she’s lost her job at a department store. Bugs, who drives Lola home from work in his taxi, has no idea he’s about to embark on the longest ride of his life!

In her spare time, Lola is an amateur perfume maker who’s convinced one day she’ll concoct the world’s most beautiful fragrance and sell it to the House of Moufette in Paris. Unbeknownst to Bugs, Lola, in one of her attempts to create the next big fragrance, has inadvertently invented an invisibility spray, and now the whole world is on their tails to steal her precious concoction!

On the run to Paris, Bugs and Lola must outsmart everyone from government officials, to Lola’s greedy department store boss, Giovanni and even Yosemite Sam, all of whom are after Lola’s “scent-sational” invisibility spray. Will Bugs help Lola thwart the bad guys and help her realize her dream of launching her own signature fragrance line? It’s a heart-stopping, looney adventure that animation fans won’t want to miss! **MOVIE REVIEW**


In this new direct to home video release Lola is the star of the show and young girls should be highly entertained by her, grownups may find her to be a little grating. Bugs Bunny happens to be a cab driver in the big city and he gets entangled in a web of intrigue once he takes Lola on as a cab fare that won't end. The animated film runs at a good clip for 75 minutes. There were quite a few cameos by some old favorites but some were a little too brief to my liking. While this is not a classic that will hold a special place in the Looney Tunes legacy this is a cute and enjoyable time that is worth checking out. 8/10


**VIDEO QUALITY**


Looney Tunes: Rabbits Run arrives on DVD with a 480p transfer in the aspect ratio of 1.85:1 - Colors were eye popping with bright pinks and blues being the highlight, just about every color in the rainbow looks great here. Ink lines were rich and well defined. The image was crystal clear. No major signs of compression artifacts. 9/10


**AUDIO QUALITY**


Audio is provided by a Dolby Digital 5.1 track. - Voice acting work was consistently crisp and clear. The antics on screen get a nice boost from well placed surround effects. Bass was good but not all that deep. 8/10

Innerspace Blu-ray Review

**SYNOPSIS**


The voice Jack (Martin Short) hears is that of hotshot Navy pilot Tuck Pendleton (Dennis Quaid), subject of a secret miniaturization project gone awry and accidentally injected into Jack. And before frazzled Jack can say, "I`ve got you under my skin", his unlikely partner propels him into the craziest escapade of his life.





**MOVIE REVIEW**


I have fond memories of watching Innerspace as a kid in the late 80's on VHS. I probably racked up at least 50 viewings of the film and then I moved onto other movies that grabbed my attention. Then in 2002 I purchased the DVD and it was the first time watching it in widescreen and it was a fun ride. Unfortunately I lost touch with the film again and doubt if I watched that DVD since then. Warner has now released Innerspace on Blu-ray and I forgot almost all of the great comic beats and it was like reconnecting with an old friend.

Martin Short gives a brilliant comedic performance as Jack and his mannerisms are gold. Dennis Quaid is great as the cocksure but quirky Tuck who ends up inside Jack's body. A young and beautiful Meg Ryan adds romantic interest and holds her own with the boys. The effects hold up surprisingly well.

Joe Dante did a fine job directing the film. Innerspace is one of those films that you just don't see anymore without it being a huge , boring blockbuster. I will make sure to revisit this 80's favorite more often. 9/10


**VIDEO QUALITY**


Innerspace arrives on Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer in the aspect ratio of 1.78:1 - Warner impresses with a high quality new master that will make the DVD copy you may have a nice coaster. Colors have some nice pop to them saturation remained balanced and natural looking. Black levels were very deep and shadow delineation was good, though a few scenes are a little too dark to my eyes but thankfully there is no crush to speak of. Overall fine detail was excellent. Natural film grain remains intact. 9/10


**AUDIO QUALITY**


Audio is provided by a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. - Dialogue was consistently crisp and clean. Surrounds use atmospheric and directional effects to bring you into the adventure of Tuck journeying through Jack's Body. While there are no demo worthy scenes when it comes to LFE performance what is there does add depth to the action. Jerry Goldsmith's terrific score is perfectly balanced in the mix. No signs of popping or crackling. 8/10
