Sons of Anarchy roars back with a vengeance after a good but inconsistent third season. This fourth season of the manliest show on cable is also a modern day take on Shakespeare especially with the father/son dynamic between Jax and Clay. The SAMCRO crew is more bad ass than ever and the superb cast is up for the challenge and put in their best work yet. One of the best shows going has it's best season to date. 9/10
SOA: Season Four arrives on Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer in the original aspect ratio 1.78:1 - One of the best shot shows on television looks sharp and pristine. Colors are natural with lots of beautiful earth tones. Fine detail was spectacular , you can even see the stitching on the cuts that the SAMCRO crew wears with pride. Black levels were consistently deep with shadow detail perfectly balanced. Overall this is a lifelike presentation that brings into the shows world. 9/10
Audio is provided by a DTS -HD Master Audio 5.1 track. - From the blazing rock tunes and the tastefully done score to the throaty motorcycle growls this is a beefy audio mix. Surrounds are used to great effect for atmosphere. LFE was deep and powerful when needed. Dialogue was crisp and clean throughout. 9/10
