20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has officially announced they will be bringing the animated spy comedy Archer: The Complete Season Five to Blu-ray and DVD on January 6, 2014. The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio. Audio will be provided by aDTS-HD Master 5.1 track. Below are the official details:

Beethoven's Treasure Tail Blu-ray Review

**SYNOPSIS**


Get ready to howl with laughter in this all-new family comedy starring America’s favorite St. Bernard, the one and only Beethoven! After a doggone disaster of a movie shoot, the big-hearted pooch and his trainer, Eddie (Jonathan Silverman, Beethoven’s Big Break), are heading home when they get stranded in a small coastal village. When Beethoven befriends a local boy (Bretton Manley, Ted), he helps him find a pirate map to lost treasure and together they em-bark on an adventure that brings the whole town together. Co-starring Morgan Fairchild (Flamingo Road), Kristy Swanson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator), it’s a heartwarming “tail” about finding fun wherever your nose leads you.





**MOVIE REVIEW**


Beethoven returns in a new installment in the franchise with the adorable, drooling St. Bernard stealing the show. The human actors all do a fine job but they are playing second fiddle to the furry main attraction. The hunt for the treasure is fun and borrows from some classic films and that's not a bad thing. I was also glad to see the first Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress, Kristy Swanson having a good time. Kids will love this fun and adventurous chapter of series. For the target audience I would rate this family film 8/10.


**VIDEO QUALITY**


Beethoven's Treasure Tail arrives on Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer in the aspect ratio of 1.78:1 - This is a perfectly serviceable if flawed presentation. Colors vary from washed out and dull to bright primaries. Black levels were solid and consistent. Fine detail suffers a bit and is not as crisp as one would expect for such a recent movie. Thankfully there are no compression artifacts to speak of. 7/10


**AUDIO QUALITY**


Audio is provided by a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. - Dialogue was consistently crisp and clear and Beethoven sounds good too. Surrounds feature a few environmental effects and bleeding of the music. Bass was deep when it was called upon and adds a little depth to music as well. 7.5/10

There are sadly no bonus features except for a few promotional trailers for other titles.
