20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has officially announced they will be bringing the thrilling spy drama The Americans: The Complete First Season to Blu-ray and DVD on February 11, 2014. The show stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys. The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio. Audio will be provided by a DTS-HD Master 5.1 track. Naomi Watts as DIANA Coming to Blu-ray & DVD on February 11th

Entertainment One has officially announced they will be bringing home the film DIANA to Blu-ray & DVD on February 11, 2014. Directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel the film stars Naomi Watts and Naveen Andrews. The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio. Audio will be provided by a DTS-HD Master 5.1 track. **SYNOPSIS**


While traveling in the Deep South, Virgil Tibbs, a black Philadelphia detective, becomes embroiled in the murder investigation of a prominent businessman when he is first accused of the crime and then asked to solve it in spite of the efforts of the bigoted town sheriff. They're forced to work together in a desperate race against time to discover the shocking truth!





**MOVIE REVIEW**


One of the finest movies to come out of the 1960's it still is a gripping and engaging film. Sidney Poitier's performance is electric on the screen. Rod Steiger and the rest of the cast complement Poitier's intensity perfectly. Norman Jewison directed the film based on taught and brilliant script that was an adaptation of a John Ball novel. The film explores bigotry, the tensions of the Civil Rights movement and a time capsule of the south during that time. 9.5/10


**VIDEO QUALITY**


In The Heat of the Night arrives on Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer in the aspect ratio of 1.85:1. - I'll start by saying this film has never been a stunner on home video and while some are going to be displeased with the Blu-ray overall it's true to the source despite some noticeable noise in a few scenes. Colors looked deep and rich with a boost in saturation over the DVD from 2008. Black levels are rock solid and shadows reveal good detail.

Fine detail was above average though there are a few scenes that look a tad softer. There is a layer of grain throughout that adds to the filmic presentation. 7.5/10


**AUDIO QUALITY**


Audio is provided by a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. - The real treat here is the added depth and spacing the brilliant score by Quincy Jones gets. It glides through the mix with a new clarity, LFE adds some nice heft. Dialogue is dead center and clear. Some of the original mono effects have been bled to the surrounds for a little more directionality. Would have been a bonus if they had the original Mono mix too. 8/10


**SPECIAL FEATURES**


* Commentary with Norman Jewison, Lee Grant, Rod Steiger and Haskell Wexler - An informative listen that explores all the aspects of the production and it's impact. This is a collection of separately recorded interviews with the participants from different years edited quite well to create this commentary.

* Turning Up the Heat: Movie-Making In the 60's (SD, 21min10sec) - This was a very informative look back at the film and it's cultural impact over the years. Cast and crew are interviewed as well as luminaries who give their thoughts too.

* The Slap Heard Around The World (SD, 7min25sec) - An examination of the films most important scene.

* Quincy Jones: Breaking New Sound (SD, 13min2sec) - Quite a detailed look at the work done on scoring the film , the well chosen source cues and the Ray Charles title song. Jones, Director Norman Jewison and others are heard from.

**SYNOPSIS**


James Gandolfini, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Catherine Keener shine in this heartwarming comedy. Divorced mom Eva (Louis-Dreyfus) may be falling for Albert (Gandolfini), a sweet, funny, like-minded divorcé. But as their relationship blossoms, Eva befriends Marianne (Keener), who’s always complaining about her ex-husband. When Eva realizes that Albert is the target of Marianne’s rants, she begins to question her own perceptions about first impressions and second chances.





**MOVIE REVIEW**


Well what can be said about on of the last performances of the late James Gandolfini that hasn't been said already. He is just tremendous as the teddy bear Albert, who slowly develops a relationship with the quirky massage therapist Eva. Eva is played by the terrific Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Where the film kind of takes a turn for me is when she finds out more about Albert through his ex wife and spends a lot of time listening to clients and friends how she should approach her relationship. It drags a bit after the early lightness and fun that starts the film. This is more of an actor's showcase and it was nice to see Gandolfini ending on such a high note and play someone different from Tony Soprano. 7/10


**VIDEO QUALITY**


Enough Said arrives on Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer in the aspect ratio of 1.85:1. - Colors have a sun kissed quality to them with bold primaries and well balanced saturation. Skin tones looked natural. Black levels were solid. Fine detail was quite good overall with crystal clear close ups, textures and a nice depth of field.9/10


**AUDIO QUALITY**


Audio is provided by a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. - What we get here is a front heavy presentation as would be expected for this genre of film.. Dialogue is placed front and center remaining crisp and clear throughout. Some light effects are bled to the surrounds. 7.5/10
