**SYNOPSIS**


Twenty-seven years after the Losers Club defeated Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård), he has returned to terrorize the town of Derry once more. Now adults, the Losers have long since gone their separate ways. However, people are disappearing again, so Mike (Isaiah Mustafa), the only one of the group to remain in their hometown, calls the others home. Damaged by the experiences of their past, they must each conquer their deepest fears to destroy Pennywise once and for all...putting them directly in the path of the shape-shifting clown that has become deadlier than ever.

It: Chapter Two arrives on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray with a 2160p presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio. - The first chapter of IT was quite the looker in 4K and the second chapter continues that excellence. HDR and Dolby Vision standouts would have to be the two scenes that take place at a carnival that pop with vivid colors, deep contrast and neon brightness all at the same time. The final showdown with Pennywise has great depth and shadow detail while never sacrificing brilliant specular highlights. The color palette and tone remains true to the first film.

Audio is provided by a Dolby Atmos track. - Dialogue reproduction was crisp and clear. The added height channels are used for atmospheric presence but really comes alive in the final 20 minutes. You feel like Pennywise/IT is attacking you from everywhere when he is chasing down and terrorizing the grown up Losers club. LFE performance was excellent with deep, punchy bass when needed. There is zero to complain about here.

Joker 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray January 7th

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced they will release Joker to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on January 7, 2020. The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray specs are set to be 2160p video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and a Dolby Atmos track for audio. Below are the official details:







Directed, co-written and produced by Oscar nominee, Todd Phillips, “Joker” stars Joaquin Phoenix in this character study of a man struggling to find his way in Gotham City’s fractured society.

“Joker” will be available on 4K, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD. The Blu-ray Combo Pack features a Blu-ray disc with the film and special features in hi-definition, a DVD with the film in standard definition and a Digital version of the movie.


**SYNOPSIS**


Forever alone in a crowd, Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) longs for any light to shine on him. Trying his hand as a stand-up comic, he finds the joke always seems to be on him. Caught in a cyclical existence between apathy and cruelty and, ultimately, betrayal, Arthur makes one bad decision after another that brings about a chain reaction of escalating events.

The Goldfinch Blu-ray Disc Review

**SYNOPSIS**


Theodore “Theo” Decker (Ansel Elgort) was 13 years old when his mother was killed in a bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The tragedy changes the course of his life, sending him on a stirring odyssey of grief and guilt, reinvention and redemption, and even love. **VIDEO QUALITY**


The Goldfinch arrives on Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer in the aspect ratio of 1.85:1 - Roger Deakins is one of the finest living cinematographers and I was excited to see his name on the credits. This is a beautifully shot film but it is a bit muted with colors. Details are razor sharp, especially in close-ups. Excellent black levels are complemented with good shadow detail. Overall this is a great presentation. 9/10


**AUDIO QUALITY**


Audio is provided by a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. - Being a drama the movie is for the most part dialogue driven and not overly aggressive. There some moments of activity in the surrounds with dynamic environmental effects. Everything is crisp and clear. No problems with pops or hissing.8/10
