**SYNOPSIS**
The inspiring true story of Winter isn’t over. Several years after receiving a prosthetic tail, Winter loses her surrogate mother, leaving her alone, grieving and unwilling to engage with anyone, even her best human friend, Sawyer. Worse, she may have to be moved from her home at the aquarium due to regulations requiring dolphins to be paired. When Dr. Clay Haskett and his dedicated team can’t find her a companion, it looks like they may lose their beloved Winter...until an unexpected turn of events brings them Hope.
**MOVIE REVIEW**
Winter returns in this sweet and worthy sequel. For any young one in your family that loved the first film you can be certain they'll be thrilled to receive this Blu-ray combo pack under the Christmas tree. The cast is given more screen time and the characters are more fleshed out. I could nitpick with the film throwing in lifetime movie of the week problems for the family to face but it doesn't harm the score too much. Recommended for animal lovers and anyone looking for a good family family film.

**VIDEO QUALITY**
Dolphin Tale 2 arrives on Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer in the aspect ratio of
1.85:1 - Bold primaries and various cheerful colors look great. Fleshtones appear natural. Black levels were solid. Overall image sharpness was good but there were a few slightly soft scenes. Closeups and clothing exhibit fine little details like textures, wrinkles, freckles, and the marine life looks brilliant. No compression artifacts to be found.

**AUDIO QUALITY**
Audio is provided by a
DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 track. - Don;t be too excited to see the 7.1 designation for this track as it doesn't add all that much. Dialogue was consistently crisp and clear and Winter sounds good too. Surrounds activity was lively with environmental effects being crisp and precise. LFE performance was good when bass was needed but certainly not a wall shaker and nobody should be expecting that with this material. No anomalies to speak of.
