Unfinished Business Blu-ray Review

**SYNOPSIS**

In this hilarious drink-like-a-fish-out-of-water comedy, Vince Vaughn stars as a hard-working entrepreneur who travels to Europe with his two associates (Dave Franco, Tom Wilkinson) to close the most important business deal of their lives. But the journey quickly spins out of control as the hapless trio encounters all kinds of crazy obstacles, including Oktoberfest bar brawls, hotel foul-ups, foreign GPS directions, and a global fetish festival. In the end, these guys gone wild might just land the deal...if they can survive the trip. Bottoms up!

**MOVIE REVIEW**

While the cast does a fine job trying to lift the film I could never fully connect to it. There are some very funny moments that make it enjoyable enough if not very memorable. Dave Franco is the standout of the film and is closing the gap on his older brother James as the best actor in the family. Vince Vaughn at least seems interested but a subplot involving his characters kids bogs down rest of the film. 7/10

**VIDEO QUALITY**

Unfinished Business arrives on Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer in the aspect ratio of 2.40:1 - Colors are warm and inviting. Skintones have a natural appearance. Black levels were deep and shadow delineation was good not great. Unfinished Business was shot on film and it really enhances the look of the movie. Detail was excellent and every texture and hair is clearly rendered. If there was anything to have an issue with it would be very light banding for a few moments but overall this was a visually pleasing transfer. 9/10

**AUDIO QUALITY**

Audio is provided by a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. - Dialogue is placed front and center, remaining crisp and crystal clear throughout. Surround activity was surprisingly abundant and effective. Music cues and the score get a good amount of bass. A solid track overall. 8.5/10
