Anchor Bay Entertainment and The Weinstein Company have officially announced they will be bringing the inspiring Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom to Blu-ray combo pack and DVD on March 18, 2014. The film directed by Justin Chadwick stars Idris Elba and Naomie Harris. The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video. Audio will be provided by a DTS-HD Master 5.1 track. Below are the official details:
BEVERLY HILLS, CA – Anchor Bay Entertainment and The Weinstein Company announced today the Blu-ray™ combo pack, Blu-ray™ and DVD release of MANDELA: LONG WALK TO FREEDOM from director Justin Chadwick (THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL). MANDELA: LONG WALK TO FREEDOM was recently nominated for an Academy Award® for Best Original Song – “Ordinary Love” by U2, for which it won a Golden Globe®. The film was nominated for a total of three Golden Globes including Best Performance by an Actor and Best Original Score.
