BEE PEOPLE is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the style chosen for this documentary. The movie focuses on a diverse group of beekeepers whom through their dedication and environmental awareness have done their best to keep these fascinating little creatures alive and hopefully here to stay. Without bees our planet over time would be in a food crisis that could end the way we live and affect the planet overall. I did find a couple of the participants to be a bit preachy about their mission but most are more relaxed but just as committed to the cause. I would recommend checking this one out. 9/10
BEE PEOPLE arrives on DVD with a transfer in the aspect ratio of 1.78:1 - Shot digitally the doc looks sharp with some visually pleasing shots that are quite detailed. Colors exhibit a natural quality to them with a couple bursts of more saturated color. Contrast was okay but I did notice a few moments that looked a bit flat. No major compression artifacts to be found. 8.5/10
Audio is provided by a Dolby Digital 5.1 track. - Dialogue was placed front and center and drives most of the sound heard in the movie, it remained crisp and clear through the 102 minute run time. Bass is nonexistent and surround usage is minimal. 7.5/10
