"Battle 360: Complete Season 1" arrives on Blu-ray with a 1080p in the original aspect ratio of 1.78:1. As expected the current interview segments are strikingly natural and provides strong primary colors and deep blacks. The vintage footage is a mixed bag of damage, dirt, and heavy grain. The vintage footage is also stretched to fill the screen instead of being left pillar boxed to represent the time the footage was filmed. CGI sequences were presented well but highlight the below average effects work done for the series.7/10
Audio is provided by a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 track. As I noted in my previous "Patton 360" review, this track would have benefited greatly from a full 5.1 mix. What's presented here is solid though. The battle sequences showcase boisterous, booming bass. Unfortunately the robust sound effects weren't allowed to breath with a larger sound field. The dialogue and excellent narration was clear and intelligible throughout. Overall this was a solid track 8/10
"Making of Battle 360" (SD)(29min16sec) - A decent look at several different segments from the first season as well as some informative, if somewhat dry interviews with the CGI artists.
