Bones in it's eighth season found it's way after the growing pains of the seventh season. Bones and Booth are back and better than ever. David Boreanaz is stellar as always and Emily Deschanel to me is a more rounded actress than her sister Zooey. Fans get some really fun cases this year and the tech used is kept interesting. I was quite impressed with the consistent quality of this season. 8/10
Bones: Eighth Season arrives on Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer in the original aspect ratio 1.78:1 - Bones looks great here with bold and beautifully saturated colors. Fine detail brings you up close and personal with the more icky and gooey moments. Black levels were solid. Contrast was well balanced with bright outdoor scenes that never look washed out. No signs of edge enhancement were noticed. 9/10
Audio is provided by a DTS -HD Master Audio 5.1 track. - I was surprised that this is a mostly front heavy mix. Dialogue is crisp and placed dead center. Surrounds are used for panning and environmental effects when called upon. LFE does kicks in during more intense moments but stays calm most of an episodes running time. 7.5/10
