The show has always been a consistent basic cable guilty pleasure bit with the fourth season the show reinvents itself and became one of my favorite shows on the air. Matt Bomer has a smooth almost James Bondian charisma to him that plays well with the FBI straight man played by Tim Dekay. The cast is well rounded and bring a great humor to the proceedings and can do more dramatic moments when necessary. A sexy and intense fourth season is well worth your time. 8.5/10
White Collar arrives on DVD with a 480p transfer in the aspect ratio of 1.78:1. - This slick looking show transfers well to DVD. Colors are well balanced with natural flesh tones. Black levels were deep without sacrificing shadow detail in darker scenes. Fine detail really shows off the clean lines and crisp suits. No signs of compression artifacts were noticed. 8.5/10
Audio is provided by a Dolby Digital 5.1 track. - Dialogue was always crisp and clean throughout. Stereo separation was good. Surrounds are engaged for subtle environmental effects and when the action ramps up on screen. LFE was quite strong and effective. 8/10
